Archie Americana Series: Best of the Eighties

Archie Americana Series: Best of the Eighties, Vol. 1Archie Americana Series: Best of the Eighties, Vol. 1 by George Gladir
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Archie Americana Series: Best of the Eighties is a nice little collection that hits some high and low notes of 1980s fashion and pop culture. The gang explores 80s pop culture topics like break dancing, punk music, roller disco, Michael Jackson, Bruce Springsteen, Trivial Pursuit, Wheel of Forture, and ET.

We're talking about Archie here so there's not a whole lot else to tell. Nobody learns any valuable lessons.

Apart from Rex Lindsey getting credit for the cover, there are no other credits listed in this. The issues of the Archie books the stories are pulled from are listed, though, so one could figure out who drew what if they were so inclined. Chances are it's all Rex Lindsey, Stan Goldberg, and Dan DeCarlo, though. And there are page numbers for once!

Archie Americana Series: Best of the Eighties is an interesting look at the best and worst of 1980s pop culture through the Archie lens. 4 out of 5 burgers.
