Dungeon Toilet, Vol. 1 by Roots
My rating: 3 of 5 stars
When Yotaro is transported to a fantasy world not unlike one found in RPGs, he faces the greatest foe man has ever faced - finding comfortable toilets in another world.
I don't remember how I originally became aware of this but my wife bought it for me for Christmas.
So yeah, Yotaro and his companions Gigi and Nurael are adventurers in a fantasy world. While there are adventures happening, the focus is on the weird toilets Yotaro encounters while exploring the world. Yotaro invariably reveals toilet facts from history while dropping a deuce and these facts are expanded on in two page entries at the end of most chapters.
The art is fairly good but not all that indistinguishable from the art in Made in Abyss and other modern fantasy manga. There are jokes but the book mostly feels like a PSA about how great modern toilets are and an examination of toilets throughout history.
Dungeon Toilet - not shitty. Three out of five stars.
