World of Archie Volume 2 collects stores from World of Archie #10-22.
Rex Lindsey is my favorite post-Dan DeCarlo Archie artist. In fact, I've probably said "Let's get some Rex Lindsey up in this bitch" more than anyone on earth. Anyway, aside from a Stan Goldberg story and a Dan Parent story, Rex Lindsey does pencils on all the stories in this book.
The stories veer away from the typical Archie teenage hijinks and go for a more globetrotting approach. Archie and the Gang venture to Canada, the Caribbean, and various points in between, and also encounter UFOs, a haunted house, smugglers, burglars, and various other atypical Archie threats. There are also a couple stories that fit within the Archie framework, like Archie and Veronica both running for class president.
As I said before, Rex Lindsey heads up the art chores on this and knocks it out of the park as usual, drawing the hell out of exotic locales, Egyptian artifacts, and various monsters. The guy went the extra mile on every damn panel.
World of Archie Volume 2 is a Rex Lindsey tour de force. Five out of five giant squids.
